September ride-out - Bimble to the Bard's Birthplace
Meeting; 09.00hrs (for 09:30 departure) at McDonalds just off M4 J12 – Bath Road, Calcot, Theale RG31 7SA (Fuel is available on site, although it’s not a simple process to get from the fuel, back to McD’s)
Route is roughly 100 miles each way, through some of the best roads the Cotswolds have to offer. Everyone rides at their own pace. (Although it would be appreciated if you don’t overtake me, unless you know a better route!)
Destination; Stratford Upon Avon – Free Motorcycle parking in the heart of the town on the right-hand side of the A3400 one-way system (Opposite Crown Plaza Hotel on left)
There will be 2 hours free time to eat, drink, explore (often there is a market on Sunday’s) and take photos of this very picturesque, medieval town that straddles the river Avon, before we regroup for our return journey.
Once we’ve re-grouped after free time, we will head directly to refuel before starting our return route, of which there are two options 1) retracing our outward route 2) via Woodstock, Benson & Henley-On-Thames ending at the BP (M&S) Petrol Station at the junction of the A4/A321 at Twyford RG10 9QA.
