Bring your best tunes, we’re heading west to Glastonbury for July.

We will start at 9:30 prompt from McDonald’s – Andover West. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ays9mqJ78NwUUwgu5 . There is a Shell garage off the nearby roundabout if you need to fill up first.

From Andover we will move southbound first on the A roads to Stockbridge, before starting to move west to quickly cut through the top of the New Forest, seeking some more flowing roads through the Wimbourne’s. Around 11:00 we’ll take a quick stop for tea/coffee/cake at Aunt Fanny’s Cafe.

We will enjoy the lovely flowing 3078 before heading up towards Sherbourne and then through some smaller roads towards Glastonbury. Where will will make our fuel stop at 100miles in Glastonbury.

After passing through Glastonbury we will stop for lunch at The Apple Tree Inn around 13:00.

With our stomachs full, I’ve save some excellent roads for the afternoon, we’ll head up to Shepton Mallet before picking up the A371 to Castle Cary, which after we get past the showgrounds will open up into a lovely national limit down to Wincanton. A quick hop up the A303 and will will cut back onto the A and B roads through Gillingham and then Shaftsbury.

We will have a short fluid stop in Shaftbury before picking up the A30 past the Fovant badges and cutting round the edge of Salisbury round the hairpin in Woodfords. This will avoid the obligatory filtering on the A303 near Stonehenge that always happens.

Our day will finish just off the A303 near Cholderton where you can fill up and make your way home.
